Four Chinese Export ‘Famille Rose’ Porcelain Botanical Plates, Qianlong Period (1736-1795)
A very attractive group of four 18th century Chinese export porcelain botanical plates made for the French market, circa 1775. Each having a scalloped rim banded with enamelled diaper motifs, the central field richly decorated with hand painted enamels depicting pairs of stemmed Chrysanthemum blooms bound with blue ribbon, the underside showing a conforming circular foot. Each measuring 9” in diameter.
All in extremely good overall condition with a very few minor frits consistent with their age & use.
