    An Exceptionally Fine & Heavy 19th Century Sterling Silver Mug by Edward & John Barnard, London 1854


    The body rising from a sculpted rocaille base to a flaring rim, decorated with finely engraved & chased foliate detail and affixed with a foliate inspired handle, the interior showing a richly gilded wash. The underside bearing full hallmarks & makers marks. Weight, 384 grams (12.34 troy ounces).

    Provenance: Obtained by direct descent from family. (See dedication dated August 3rd 1855)
