An Exceptional French Empire Period Mahogany Pedestal Centre Table, France Circa 1815

The original fossilized black marble circular top over a conforming frieze of richly figured mahogany, mounted upon a stunning flame-mahogany tri-corner base accented with three individual hand carved & applied swan-shaped elements, raised overall on three columnar supports on compressed pad feet. The top having a later repaired separation which remains stable. Dimensions, 28” high x 38.5” diameter.
