An Amusing 20th Century Sterling Silver Vesta Case in the Form of Mr. Punch, Circa 1950
The sterling silver figure of Mr. Punch with inset red stone eyes and fitted with a suspension ring, the underside of the hinged base having a serrated strike groove, opening to an interior for holding safety matches. Showing impressed sterling marks 925 and maker or town marks. Weighing 24 grams.
Measuring 2.25” high (minus suspension ring) x 1.5” wide x .75” deep.
