A Very Good ‘Sheraton Revival’ Satinwood Worktable, England Circa 1890 

A striking 19th century worktable / side table in highly figured satinwood, the richly figured ‘tawny satinwood’ oval top inlaid with a crossbanded border and kingwood banding, opening to a conforming base with a velvet lined interior. The banded frieze fitted with a functioning lock mechanism fronted by a diamond shaped escutcheon, raised overall on four squared & tapering supports strung with ebony stringing and braced by an X frame stretcher. Dimensions: 30” high x 18.75” wide x 14.5” deep.
