A Very Good Pair of Silverplated Champagne Coolers, England Circa 1900

 

Both coolers of campagna form with foliate cast open handles, rising to flaring rims with beaded decoration and retaining their original removable liners. Both coolers engraved with armorials & motto ‘Serva Jugum’ (translated ‘Keep the Yoke’). The undersides of both coolers & their liners showing spurious impressed makers marks resembling those of Matthew Boutlon.

Both measuring 9” high.
