A Very Good Antique Persian Heriz Carpet, Circa 1920

 

A very good room size antique Heriz carpet, showing a geometric central medallion in a palette of coral, indigo & royal blue, against a terracotta & tangerine field with floral & geometric motifs, the four corners showing both foliate & geometric designs against cream shaded spandrels. The main border with repeating flowerhead motifs against a deep navy-blue band, framed within guard borders of meandering indigo motifs against a khaki-gold field.

Measuring, 146” long x 106” wide.
