A Very Good American Classical-Period Giltwood Looking Glass or Pier Mirror, Boston Circa 1825
The architectural cornice decorated with hand applied carved & gilded acorn-shaped pendants, over a highly decorated frieze centred by an acanthus shaped medallion in high relief surmounting two rectangular plates - the uppermost replacing what was once a painted eglomise panel, flanked on either side by ring-carved half pilasters decorated with classical motifs.
