A Very Good 19th Century Brass Bound & Inlaid Amboyna Tea Caddy, France Circa 1870

The richly figured amboyna case having a brass bound lid centred by an inlaid cartouche of cut brass & mother of pearl, set against an ebonized reserve and opening to a lidded & lead paper lined tea compartment, retaining its original lock mechanism. Dimensions, 4.375" x 4.5" x 4.5".
