A Very Fine Regency Period Tea Caddy in Tortoiseshell.
The exterior showing a cavetto molded front strung with sterling silver line inlay and having a conforming & similarly strung hinged lid inset with a silver cartouche, raised overall atop original bun-shaped ivory feet. The interior fitted with twin compartments complimented by tortoiseshell lids with turned ivory pulls. English, Circa 1830. Height - 4.25", Width - 7", Depth - 4.5".
