A Very Fine 20th C. Louis XVI Style Mahogany ‘Tric Trac’ Games Table, France Circa 1920

 

The finely grained & cross-banded top opening to a baize lined playing surface for cards, supported upon a frieze decorated with gilt bronze mounts, extending lengthwise to reveal a baize lined backgammon table & compartment for counters. Raised overall on squared & tapering cross-banded supports terminating to gilt bronze sabots. Exhibiting exceptional colour and a fine patina beneath a ‘French polished’ surface overall.

Dimensions, 30” high x 24” deep x 39” long (extending to 53” for backgammon)
