A Very Elegant Neoclassical Inspired Porcelain Ice Pail / Wine Cooler, France Circa 1870
The body decorated front & back with hand painted floral vignettes & gilt banding, rising to a detachable conforming porcelain insert, sided by a pair of parcel gilt swan-neck handles. Overall height 13.5”, (10.5” without insert). In excellent overall condition with no cracks or losses, minor wear to some areas of gilding consistent with age & use. No visible factory marks but most likely Paris porcelain.
