Together with an Accompanying Signed Concert Program for ‘The Associated Students of Stanford University’.
The 8” x 10” photo published by The National Concert and Artists Corporation, 711 Fifth Avenue New York, New York, boldly signed in blue ink top right “Best Wishes from Louis Kaufman Jan. 16th 1950” together with a 9” x 6” double-sided concert program also dated January 16th 1950 and signed “Best Wishes, Louis Kaufman”. The program also refers to Kaufman’s wife, Annette Kaufman as accompanying him on the piano during this performance.
Overall condition of the photograph is very good with no tears, one minor crease and areas of subtle discolouration. The concert program is also in very good condition with no tears or creases.
Louis Kaufman (1905-1994) is regarded as quite possibly the most recorded artist of the 20th century, winning the Grand Prix du Disque in 1950 and was elected to the Grammy Hall of Fame in 2002 and the Library of Congress’s National Recording Registry in 2003.
