A Mid Century Modern Sterling Silver Silent Butler by Carl Poul Petersen, Circa 1960

The body fitted with a turned ebonized handle, the hinged lid finished with a subtle planished surface and an applied organic inspired element, the underside bearing maker’s marks.
Dimensions, 2.5” high x 10.25” long x 6” wide.

Carl Poul Petersen (b. Copenhagen 1895 – d. Montreal 1977) was a Master Silversmith who apprenticed with Georg Jensen in Copenhagen from 1908-13, later opening his own store in Montreal in 1944.
