A Highly Decorative Early 20th Century Brass Jardinière, India Circa 1900

The body decorated overall with repeating bands of hand embossed motifs depicting deer, goat antelope and tigers interspersed by bands of foliage, geometric panels and text. Raised on a conforming circular foot, the tinned underside showing hand-fashioned dovetailed construction. The diameter at the shoulder measures 17.5", the diameter at the mouth measures 12".

The unpolished exterior exhibiting an old patina as well as a few minor indentations consistent with its age and intended use. As a courtesy the exterior will be polished prior to shipping if requested.
