A Fine & Rare Set of Six Dutch Colonial ‘Gujarat’ Glass Decanters, India Circa 1750
All of squared form with rounded shoulders & waisted cylindrical necks, retaining their original dedicated stoppers with flattened & floral gilt decorated finials. Their shoulders decorated with repeating foliate & geometric gilt motifs interspersed at each corner with starburst elements. The underside of each base having pontil marks as well as hand painted numerals that correspond to each of their dedicated and numerically matching stoppers. The dimensions of each decanter is slightly irregular from that of the next but measures approximately 7” high (including stopper) x 2.5” x 2.75” at the shoulder.
