A Fine George III Tea Caddy in Cuban Mahogany, England Circa 1790

 

The highly figured mahogany case decorated on all sides with kingwood crossbanding & satinwood stringing, the conforming hinged top retaining what appears to be its original gilded brass pull opening to an interior housing twin tea cannisters, both with hinged lids richly decorated with satinwood paterae & kingwood crossbanding.

Dimensions, 5” high x 7.5” wide x 4.7/8” deep.
