A Fine George III Inlaid Mahogany Tea Caddy Converted to a Letter Box, English Circa 1810
The finely grained mahogany case decorated with inlaid conch-shaped paterae, kingwood banding, fan-shaped satinwood spandrels & ebony stringing, the hinged top centred by an urn-shaped motif within an oval cartouche, opening to a paper lined interior, lock mechanism intact.
Dimensions, 4.75” high x 11” wide x 5.5” deep.
In very good condition overall, consistent with age & use.
