The charming, realistically cast and finely chiselled gilt bronze model of a Brussels Griffon with a highly expressive face. The underside bearing impressed marks for Vienna together with makers marks STB (for Stefan Buchinger). Dimensions, 3” high x 2.75” long
Un-decorated Viennese gilt bronze castings, especially those of animals are relatively scarce as the vast majority were cold-painted.
