A Finely Sculpted 19th Century Marble Bust of a Young Girl, Italy Circa 1870

A large & very charming 19th century hand carved Carrara marble portrait bust of a young girl. Shown wearing a tasseled cap and holding the remnants of an object in her left hand, raised overall upon its original verde-antico marble socle. Signed indistinctly within the crease of her cap.

Height, 17.75”. Weight, 29 pounds.

(Portions of the fingers on the left hand have been professionally restored, minor loss to the object held in the left hand).
