A Fine 18th Century Hepplewhite Period Serpentine Chest of Drawers in Mahogany, England Circa 1780
The crossbanded & ebony strung serpentine-shaped top over a conforming base fitted with four tiers of graduated drawers with highly figured fronts inset with diamond-shaped ivory escutcheons, together with original lock mechanisms and later brass backplates & ring pulls, raised overall on splayed 'French' bracket feet spanning an undulating skirt. In very good overall condition, exhibiting exceptional form, timbers and fine proportions. Dimensions, 37.75" high x 39” wide x 22.75" deep.
